Year 3 Summer Term
What's happening in the Summer Term?
This is a very busy term, we travel back in time to Ancient Egypt where the children learn about gods and mummies and why the River Nile is so important to the people of Egypt in ancient times and in the present day. We have a visit this term from Jules the ‘fossil man’ to explain how fossils are formed and to share lots of example with the children. Our residential trip this term is related to our Science topic rocks and soils, we travel to the Dorset coast to hunt for fossils. The children who do not go on the residential trip will have special dinosaur themed activities in school and their trip will be to Chiltern Open Air Museum to experience a Stone age workshop.
