FoTJS stands for the ‘Friends of Turnfurlong Junior School’ and we are the parent/teacher association for the school.  Everyone who has a child at the school is automatically a member of FoTJS, and you can choose how much to get involved.

FoTJS is there to support the school and develop relationships between the staff, parents and others and to raise money. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity for parents to be involved in the life of the school community.

Throughout the school year we organise a variety of events that give people a chance to support the school, opportunities to get to know one another, and also raise some money for the school funds in the process.

If you have a child at the school, you will be a member of FoTJS, but how involved you want to be is up to you. There is an elected FoTJS committee which you may like to join, or you may wish to be involved in planning one particular event in the year, or, you may simply wish to help out at events. Whichever you decide, getting involved is a lot of fun and is the quickest way to get to know the school.
